Privacy Policy

We're committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (“GDPR”) and other privacy regulations.

In this Privacy Policy,

“Website” means any Paid-owned or operated websites, web applications, dashboards, APIs, documentation portals, campaign or event microsites, and subdomains that link to this Privacy Policy (including www.paid.ai, app.paid.ai and docs.paid.ai).

“Events” means virtual or in-person events hosted or organised by us (and related registration pages and communications).

“Services” means our products and services (including the Paid platform) made available via the Website or otherwise.

Where we process personal information on behalf of our business customers in connection with the Services, we do so as a processor or service provider under the applicable customer contract and data processing agreement. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such processing except to the extent we act as a controller in our own right.

Personal information we collect

We may collect a variety of personal information from or about you or your devices from various sources, as described below. Where applicable, we indicate whether and why you must provide us with your personal information, as well as the consequences of failing to do so. If you do not provide your personal information when requested, you may not be able to use our Website or Events if that personal information is necessary to provide you with our Website or Events, or if we are legally required to collect it.

A. Personal Information You Provide to Us

Registration and Business Contact Details. When you sign up for product access, register for an Event, request a demo, download content, subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise interact with us, we may collect your name, work email address, company name, job title and any other information you choose to provide. If you sign up using a third-party account, (for example, Google), we may also receive basic profile information from that provider, such as your name, email address and, where available, profile image.

We may also receive business contact details and related professional information about you from publicly available sources and third-party providers, such as lead generation, scheduling, CRM, visitor identification and data enrichment providers, including where they help us identify companies or contacts that may be interested in our Services.

Communications. If you contact us directly, we may receive personal information about you. For example, when you contact us for more information about Paid, we may receive your name, email address, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide. When you communicate with us online, we use Intercom and other service providers to receive, host and manage customer support and messaging communications on our behalf. These providers may process the contents of your messages, any attachments you send, and related metadata such as timestamps, account identifiers and device/browser information. We do not use Intercom's AI chatbot functionality; support responses are handled manually by our team. If you subscribe to our newsletter, then we will collect certain information from you, such as your name, email address, and company name.

AI Features (Prompts and Outputs). Our Services may include AI-powered features that allow you to submit text inputs (such as prompts) and receive generated outputs within the application. If you include personal information in your inputs, we will process that information and it may be reproduced in the outputs. We store prompts and outputs as part of your account data for product functionality and audit purposes. We may review prompts and outputs in anonymised and aggregated form for product improvement, debugging and quality assurance. We do not use customer prompts or outputs to train third-party foundation models, and we do not share prompts or outputs with model providers except as necessary to generate the requested output as part of providing the Services.

Careers. If you decide that you wish to apply for a job with us, you may submit your contact information and your resume online. We will collect the information you choose to provide on your resume, such as your education and employment experience. You may also apply through LinkedIn. If you do so, we will collect the information you make available to us on LinkedIn.

B. Personal Information We Collect When You Use Our Website

Location Information. When you use our Website, we infer your general location information, for example, by using your internet protocol (IP) address.

Device Information. We receive information about the device and software you use to access our Website, including IP address, web browser type, and operating system version.

Usage Information. To help us understand how you use our Website and to help us improve it, we automatically receive information about your interactions with our Website like the pages or other content you view and the dates and times of your visits.

Do Not Track and targeted advertising opt-outs. Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” settings, but there is no accepted standard for how to respond to those signals and we do not respond to them. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of certain processing for targeted advertising or similar advertising purposes. You can exercise those rights by adjusting your cookie settings where available, using any consent or preference controls we make available on our Website, or contacting us using the details below.

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request data portability and receive an electronic copy of personal information that you have provided to us, in certain circumstances;
  • object at any time to our processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes;
  • request human review of decisions taken exclusively on the basis of automated processing where those decisions produce legal or similarly significant effects on you, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including in your country of residence, place of work or where an incident took place.

You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the contact details at the end of this Privacy Policy. Before fulfilling your request, we may ask you to provide reasonable information to verify your identity. Please note that there are exceptions and limitations to each of these rights.

Third Parties

Our Website may contain links to other websites, products, or services that we do not own or operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. Please be aware that this Privacy Policy does not apply to your activities on these third-party services or any information you disclose to these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information to them.

Our Website and Services are operated from, and personal information may be processed in, the United States and other countries where we and our service providers operate. If you are located in the UK or EEA, this may involve transferring your personal information outside the UK/EEA.

Where we transfer personal information outside the UK or EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (or other lawful transfer mechanism) in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

You can contact us as described below if you would like more information about the safeguards we use for international transfers, or to request a copy (where available).

Retention of Personal Information

We store personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide and secure our Website and Services, manage our relationship with you, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is used. Business contact and marketing lead data is generally retained for up to 24 months after our last meaningful interaction with you, unless you opt out earlier, object to the processing, or a longer period is reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Account and product-related information that we process as controller is generally retained for the duration of the account or customer relationship and for up to 12 months thereafter, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for security, compliance, dispute resolution or legal obligations. For example, certain monitoring traces may be retained for around 30 days, certain operational logs for around 15 days, and support communications in Intercom may be deleted for inactive users after around 9 months. We review retention periods periodically and aim not to keep personal information for longer than is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
